Tribute to Vital Dufour

This new brand, this newcomer to Armagnac, has chosen to pay tribute to Vital Dufour, this abbot of Eauze kept from medicine that he had studied at the University of Montpellier, and which wrote, in 1310, "the 40 Virtues of Armagnac ”. This is the founding text (jealously kept in the Vatican library in Rome) which dates from the Gascon Spirit and makes him the oldest brandy in France. More than seven centuries contemplate Armagnac, more than 700 years of a fabulous adventure that continues and of which Armagnac 1310 decided to accompany history.

A range that favors quality

With a packaging and marketing that stick to the prestige of Armagnac, this new brand has chosen to favor water-of-life typical of the Bas-Armagnac terroir and which correspond to three different approaches. A "6 years of age" is proposed to discover the Gascon spirits and a "12 years of age" for experienced consumers in search of safe values. As for the "25 year olds" of Armagnac 1310, it is among the most beautiful life of this age with great character and an extraordinary finesse.

Our favorite: 25 years

This brandy is made up of the four major grape varieties of the appellation (Ugni Blanc, Colombard, Baco and Folle Blanche). It was born from a slightly acidic aromatic wine whose degree is low. This Armagnac 1310, 25 years of age, was raised in French oak barrels. This lower armagnac presents itself under a beautiful very intense amber color with slight green reflections. Its very aromatic nose of soft spices (pepper and cloves), but also vanilla and gingerbread, gives way in the mouth to spicy notes and very marked nuts (nuts and butter). Do not miss.
