Since the creation of the Maison Sempé in 1934 by Abel Sempé, the Vintage collection has continued to lie down. For this 1970 vintage as for each vintage, chai masters handle the distillation and rigorous selection of barrels with audacity allowing to transmit during the tasting of round and mature brandy.
This Armagnac Sempé 1970 responds in every way to the golden rule of the house which is the pleasure of sharing.

Dress: The dress of this 1970 Armagnac is rather clear with beautiful orange shades with copper reflections.
Nose: the nose is complex. Many aromas of sweet spices emerge from the glass intertwined with vanilla and cocoa notes.
Mouth: The attack on the palate is flexible with a beautiful aromatic palette. The tannins are round revealing a beautiful finish.
Finish: the end of mouth of this Armagnac Sempé 1970 is intense and long. Delicious grilled wood notes persist in the mouth.

The Bas-Armagnac, whose capital is Eauze, is west of the appellation. It runs on the Landes and the western part of the Gers. It represents 67% of the areas identified in Armagnac. In this part of the terroir, the floors are sablo simedy, called "sandblasters". Bas-Armagnac brandies are delicate and very fruity.

It is undoubtedly one of the most emblematic houses in Armagnac. The personality of its creator, Abel Sempé, is not unrelated. This scholarly Gascon, passionately in love with his region, was an exemplary resistant within the Armagnac battalion, before entering politics. He was notably senator from Gers. All his professional life, he never ceased to grow his Armagnac brand founded in 1934 in France and abroad. For fifty years, Abel Sempé had his house and the Gascon brandies shine.
