The Maison Gélas has, by its history, one of the most beautiful collections of vintages in the Armagnac appellation.
On the one hand, we find the vintage still in oak barrels which continue their long aging process and on the other side paradise. The latter brings together the oldest vintages of the house stored in glass candies. The 1887 vintage is the oldest in the cellars of the Gélas house.
The Gélas house gives us, through this 2001 vintage, the fruit of mastered know-how allowing the development of brandy of such finesse.

The Bas-Armagnac, whose capital is Eauze, is west of the appellation. It runs on the Landes and the western part of the Gers. It represents 67% of the areas identified in Armagnac. In this part of the terroir, the floors are sablo simedy, called "sandblasters". Bas-Armagnac brandies are delicate and very fruity.

For four generations, the family Gélas A certain idea of quality is transmitted, a requirement in the tradition of breeding of life. The Maison Gélas Specialized in Armagnacs from the terroirs Ténarèze and Bas-Armagnac which she offered to their natural degree of aging and without reduction. Philippe Gélas, fourth generation of the family, currently at the head of the company, continues the evolution of the house through in particular mono-gliding with a permanent concern for innovation.
