In the purest family tradition of the Domaine de Charron, Jean-Philippe Balay presents a 2010 vintage faithful to his origins inherited from the soils of Sands Fauves Bas-Armagnacais. This barrel brut, born from the Alambic of the Domaine made in 1940, began its aging in a new barrel. The aromas of undergrowth and fern of this 2010 vintage deliver in the mouth very rancio flavors of smoked tea.

Nose: The nose is very rich with subtle aromas of peppermint and chamomile.
Mouth: The attack on the palate offers us a beautiful aromatic persistence of mint as well as a slight note of barley sugar.
Finish: The end of the mouth of this 2005 Armagnac Charron is round and spicy on delicious hazelnut aromas.

The Bas-Armagnac, whose capital is Eauze, is west of the appellation. It runs on the Landes and the western part of the Gers. It represents 67% of the areas identified in Armagnac. In this part of the terroir, the floors are sablo simedy, called "sandblasters". Bas-Armagnac brandies are delicate and very fruity.

With a clearly displayed ambition: producing quality brandy, from the emblematic Low-Lande grape, the Baco. His work of the vine (only two hectares) preserves microbiological life and vinification is done naturally. All his armagnacs are burns.
