It is one of the specifics of the house and a desire by Marc Darroze to highlight all the vintages of the various properties with which he has had a privileged partnership for many years: Château de Gaube, Domaine de Bellair, Domaine aux Ducs, Domaine de Barigos… The objective of this range is very clear: it respects the terroir specific to each cuvée. No question of assembling Armagnacs from different areas or different vintages, no more question of reducing the alcoholic degree by adding water, the loss of alcohol is only done in a natural way, it is the famous part Angels. Thus the Darroze house values each of these small properties of which it displays the identity on each label through this unique collection. This 1989 vintage is the perfect example.

Dress: This 1989 vintage offers us an amber and shiny dress.
Nose: The nose opens on delicate aromas of aging, typical for an armagnac of this age. Licorice, cinnamon or grilled bread characterize this flattering nose.
Mouth: Armagnac is very well structured, the tannins are soft and silky. Flavors of candied fruit and gingerbread line up the palate.
Finish: the end of mouth of this Armagnac Darroze 1989 is exceptional, the flavors remain in the mouth for a long time.

The Bas-Armagnac, whose capital is Eauze, is west of the appellation. It runs on the Landes and the western part of the Gers. It represents 67% of the areas identified in Armagnac. In this part of the terroir, the floors are sablo simedy, called "sandblasters". Bas-Armagnac brandies are delicate and very fruity.

The story of the Darroze family begins at Villeneuve-de-Marsan with Jean. The famous gascon chef, in love with his South-West and all his greedy riches, introduces his son Francis to the art of the kitchen, of course, but also to the good wines, and makes him discover the most beautiful-eaux-eaux-de-vie d' armagnac. Not surprisingly, Francis was passionate about the armagnac and from the end of the 1960s, selected, raised, and bottled his beautiful discoveries. The Darroze adventure is launched. Marc, son of Francis, soon joined his father and together they became true treasure hunters. Today, Marc continues the adventure of the Armagnacs Darroze, one of the Maisons de l' eau-de-vie gasconne.
