This DIA DEL CASSOU 1998 is a property in Bas-Armagnac exclusively planted in BACO and some plots have more than a century. The redruns used during breeding give Armagnac of mild natural fruity aromas.

Nose: the nose is fine, soft and deep. This vintage offers an olfactory palette of black fruits, oven apples, flowers (lilies, iris). The latter evolves to give notes of pine resin, heather honey, tobacco. The olfactory palette ends with notes of candied apricot, fresh figs and grilled nuts.
Mouth: this vintage is dynamic, firm and creamy. The first notes are the last noses: apricots, nuts and figs. To these flavors are added sandy notes of Boulbena. The bowl is exotic (pineapple, passion).
Finish: The end of the mouth is long and soft. Notes of flowers (lilac, peony) are employed the end of the mouth. The empty glass gives way to aromatic plants (linden, verbena) and spices (cinnamon, cloves).

Bas-Armagnac, whose capital is Eauze, is west of the appellation, in an area that runs from Nogaro to Villeneuve-de-Marsan, Roquefort, Gabarret (to the west), between Gers and Landes, To return to the western part of the Gers to Eauze. Bas-Armagnac represents 67% of the areas identified in Armagnac. In this part of the terroir, the floors are sablo simedy, called "sandblasters". Bas-Armagnac brandies are delicate and very fruity.
