The Maison Fontan gives us, through this Single cask 1996, all the richness and authenticity of a lower armagnac. This vintage comes from a single barrel and it is sold to the natural degree of aging.
These exceptional vintages are carefully selected by the chai master for their aromatic intensity as well as for their length in the mouth.

This 1996 barrel-strength Armagnac offers us generous notes of rancio on the nose with aromas of Tonka bean which we also find during tasting. This Armagnac will pair perfectly with a chocolate dessert, a walnut cake or even caramel.

The Bas-Armagnac, whose capital is Eauze, is west of the appellation. It runs on the Landes and the western part of the Gers. It represents 67% of the areas identified in Armagnac. In this part of the terroir, the floors are sablo simedy, called "sandblasters". Bas-Armagnac brandies are delicate and very fruity.

"The Maubet farm, on which our grandparents settled, is much more than a vineyard, they claim. It is this place where you live, where you get together and work, where you listen and respect nature. Everything is said by Nadège and Sylvain who draw from family roots while bringing a lot of modernity both in the development of their brandy and their marketing approach.
