Since the creation of the Maison Sempé in 1934 by Abel Sempé, the Vintage collection has continued to lie down. For this 2004 vintage as for each vintage, cellar masters handle with audacity the distillation and the rigorous selection of barrels allowing to transmit during the tasting of round and mature brandy.

Armagnac Sempé

The Bas-Armagnac, whose capital is Eauze, is west of the appellation. It runs on the Landes and the western part of the Gers. It represents 67% of the areas identified in Armagnac. In this part of the terroir, the floors are sablo simedy, called "sandblasters". Bas-Armagnac brandies are delicate and very fruity.

It is undoubtedly one of the most emblematic houses in Armagnac. The personality of its creator, Abel Sempé, is not unrelated. This scholarly Gascon, passionately in love with his region, was an exemplary resistant within the Armagnac battalion, before entering politics. He was notably senator from Gers. All his professional life, he never ceased to grow his Armagnac brand founded in 1934 in France and abroad. For fifty years, Abel Sempé had his house and the Gascon brandies shine.
