The richness of Tariquet Armagnacs is found throughout its range. For decades, the estate has been distilling and aging to the point of having an exceptional collection. This blend of Folle-blanche (40%), Baco (30%) and Ugni-Blanc (30%) is the masterpiece of the Tariquet blends. Aged in barrels for around fifteen years on average, it carries the new spirit of Bas-Armagnac through its fruity freshness and finesse. Served at room temperature or slightly chilled, it brightens desserts, parties and evenings, far from any heaviness.

A pale gold color, a nose of tatin and orange blossom which takes on accents of toffee when allowed to breathe. A fresh, supple and nervous attack on the palate, of blond caramel and liquorice, which opens with intense and dynamic nuances of roasted fruits (tatin) and fine spices (nutmeg, gray pepper, cinnamon). A gentle finish.

Bas-Armagnac, whose capital is Eauze, is to the west of the appellation, in an area which runs from Nogaro to Villeneuve-de-Marsan, Roquefort, Gabarret (to the west), between Gers and Landes, to return to the western part of the Gers as far as Eauze. Bas-Armagnac represents 67% of the areas identified in Armagnac. In this part of the land, the soils are sandy loam, called “tawny sands”. Bas-Armagnac eaux-de-vie are delicate and very fruity.

The nobility of the spirits of the Domaine Tariquet Is based on the quality of distilled wines, and first on the meticulous care brought to the cultivation of the vines. To Domaine Tariquet, the distillation is carried out by grape variety in a traditional armagnacais copper alambic, heated with wood fire. The barriques of the estate are exclusively derived from oaks of French high futaies known for the fine grain of their wood."
