The richness of Tariquet Armagnacs is found throughout its range. For decades, the estate has been distilling and aging to the point of having an exceptional collection.
This Bas-Armagnac is produced exclusively with the Plant de Graisse grape variety and blends several age accounts after aging in barrels for a minimum of 18 years.

This ancient, very rare grape variety, replanted at Domaine Tariquet in 2001, reveals an astonishing aromatic diversity, supported by the typical fatness of the grape variety, great power and tremendous length on the palate. A color with copper highlights, a nose of orange peel and spices, flavors of bitter cocoa and licorice on the palate.

Bas-Armagnac, whose capital is Eauze, is to the west of the appellation, in an area which runs from Nogaro to Villeneuve-de-Marsan, Roquefort, Gabarret (to the west), between Gers and Landes, to return to the western part of the Gers as far as Eauze. Bas-Armagnac represents 67% of the areas identified in Armagnac. In this part of the land, the soils are sandy loam, called “tawny sands”. Bas-Armagnac eaux-de-vie are delicate and very fruity.

The nobility of the spirits of the Domaine Tariquet Is based on the quality of distilled wines, and first on the meticulous care brought to the cultivation of the vines. To Domaine Tariquet, the distillation is carried out by grape variety in a traditional armagnacais copper alambic, heated with wood fire. The barriques of the estate are exclusively derived from oaks of French high futaies known for the fine grain of their wood."
